Read this article for information on the EU Settlement Scheme and the need for any EU citizen to apply for it.
As part of the EU Settlement Scheme Support team, the Citizens Advice in Lincolnshire are working to promote the EU Settlement Scheme in the local South Kesteven area to ensure that EU, EEA, and Swiss nationals and their families are aware of the scheme and that they need to apply for it.
This is important as we are approaching the end of the grace period (deadline on 30 June 2021). Any EU citizen – as some of your pupils, parents, carers and staff may be - who will fail to secure a successful application to the scheme, may lose the right to live in the UK and to attend your school legally.
For this reason, the EU Settlement Scheme Support team are working hard to provide advice with general queries as well as end to end support for applicants with more complex cases. It is a free service, delivered through Citizens Advice South Lincolnshire (CASL) and funded by the Home Office.
