Community: Year 7 Litter Pick

Year 7 students have been busy this morning (11th May) litter picking along Rushcliffe Road and around the Manthorpe Convenience Store. The students, who are working towards their Baccalaureate, completed the work as part of the Community element of their Silver Ruskin Respect.

One local resident spoke to the students and was delighted to see them out and about looking after the local area whilst the Manthorpe Convenience Store kindly gave the students a thank you card expressing their gratitude for ‘a job well done!’. The group were supervised by Mrs Geeson and willing Year 12 volunteer, Millie Hardman. Abigail, a Year 7 student who took part said, “I really enjoyed it because I like helping the community”. Well done team!
