Berlin Trip July 2015

As part of the Berlin trip in July 2015, staff and students visited the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, Unter den Linden avenue, the Jewish Memorial, the Neue Wache memorial, the Berliner Dom, Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, Stasi HQ, the German History Museum, a cruise on the river Spree and Checkpoint Charlie!

Students and staff from The Priory Ruskin Academy arrived back in England on 19th July 2015 after a fantastic trip to Berlin.    They were lucky enough to experience a wide variety of Berlin Culture including visiting the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, Unter den Linden avenue, the Jewish Memorial, the Neue Wache memorial, the Berliner Dom, Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, Stasi HQ, the German History Museum, a cruise on the river Spree and Checkpoint Charlie!    They also had an evening spent at the local bowling alley.   Mrs Taylor (Event organiser) said, `I was very, very happy to beat Mr Jackson (Teacher of History)  and we even squeezed in a quick trip to the fantastic new 'Mall of Berlin' shopping centre on Plotzdamer Platz on our last day.`
Mrs Taylor wanted to say how proud she was of the academy students.     She said, `They were an absolute credit to the Academy; they were respectful, cheerful, happy and well-behaved.`  Travelling all that way by coach, through the night there and back, didn't seem to bother them at all.

All in all, it was a brilliant trip.....but Mrs Taylor is very glad to have 6 weeks holiday now!
