At Ruskin, we aim to promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive taught programme of Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education. The PSHE curriculum gives children and young people the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live healthy, safe, productive and fulfilled lives, both now and in the future and fully support our objectives of improving life chances and creating good citizens of the world. PSHE lessons are delivered within 6 drop down days throughout the academic year; plus it is also covered within Tutor time.
You may also be aware that from September 2020 the Department for Education (DfE) is making Relationships Sex Education and Health Education (RSE) compulsory in all secondary schools. Unfortunately, as a consequence of Covid 19, our plans to consult with parents on the impending changes to the content and the delivery of RSE have been delayed until the new academic year. All relevant PSHE documentation will be uploaded in due course.
