University

It is our expectation that the majority of our Sixth Form students will gain access to university. We provide a range of activities for students to support this aspiration. We guide students through the UCAS application process with both group workshops and individual support.  University visits are arranged along with access to open days and a wide variety of prospectuses located in the Sixth Form Library. Through our Enrichment programme we facilitate students taking part in community activities to build their CV's and UCAS Personal Statements.

Any gifted students who have Oxbridge potential will be supported by the Priory LSST’s annual Oxbridge Conference that runs during March of Year 12. The ethos of the Sixth Form is about supporting the student to develop academically and socially with the aim of taking each student to their goal of a university place in their chosen field.  However, if a student does not wish to apply they will receive support to achieve their goal beyond Sixth Form, whether that be employment or training.  We will provide advice on CV writing and interview techniques and also on accessing apprenticeships.

Year 13 University Results Day Webinars

To support Year 13's on Results Day, Ruskin has teamed up with a range of universities from across the UK to offer a series of Results Day Webinars. All of these webinars are completely free of charge, and different universities will be featured every day with advice about predicted grades, Results Day and Clearing.  Each webinar will also feature a live Q&A session so Y13 can ask any questions they have directly to universities and receive a response.

  • Monday 10 August: Predicted Grades - Everything you Need to Know
  • Tuesday 11 August: Results Day Guide
  • Wednesday 12 August: Clearing, Adjustment and Deferrals
